Postdoctoral Positions at Bilkent University

Institute of Materials Science and Nanotechnology (UNAM) is announcing several prestigious RegPot postdoctoral research associate positions. The research topics include ultrafast spectroscopy and laser-materials interactions, structural analysis of materials with analytical techniques such as TEM, SEM, AFM., photonics, biosensors, optical spectroscopy, integrated optics, laser optics, biophotonics and materials growth. Prospective candidates should have a PhD in a related field. Experience in one of the fields above is a plus.

Prospective candidates should be able to work alone, as well as lead and organize group efforts consisting of several graduate students.

The positions are supported through a European Union FP7 Regional Potential (Regpot) program and are available from 1 June 2008. Appointments are initially for one year with possibility for extension for a second year. Salary is competitive and depends on degree of experience.
