I was born in 1971, in Izmir. As an undergraduate, I studied electrical engineering
in Bilkent University from 1989 to 1993. Then I attended University of Wisconsin
for graduate study in Mathematics, and received my Ph.D. in 1998.
After the Ph.D., I held visiting lecturer positions at Indiana University
in Bloomington, U.S.A. and at McMaster University  in Hamilton, Canada.

I am holding a Assistant Professor position in the Department of Mathematics
at Bilkent University  in Turkey since March, 2000.
