Using Latex on your computer
Latex editors and compilers are available on the computers in the computer labs at our University. However, you may find it more convenient to load these resources to your own computer so that you can use them more comfortably. All of the following are free software:
- One option is to use Kile (my favorite). Download and install from
https://apps.kde.org/kile/.
- A second option is to use TeXworks. Download and install from
https://www.tug.org/texworks/.
- OR, if you do not want to download and install any software on your computer (for example, you may be using an Android tablet, which will not support this software), then you may use some web services which will let you enter and compile your files over the Internet. One such popular service is Overleaf, which you can access through the link
https://www.overleaf.com/. (You will have to register first to be able to use this service.) Start with the "example" option which you can then modify.
