Welcome to the web page of the Kantcheva Research Group at Bilkent University! The goal of our research is to synthesize new catalysts and to characterize these catalysts with different methods. These catalysts have many applications from waste gas disposal to many different catalytic reduction reactions. The methods we used for characterization are chemical analysis, in-situ FT-IR, XRD, DR-UV, UV-Vis ... In our laboratory we can understand the catalytic activities by our home made instrument which is capable of applying reduced pressure and different gases to the sample cell. By this instrument we can understand the catalytic activities towards different gases at different gas pressures.
