Current Research Interest: Effect of spin-orbit coupling in excitonic condensation at zero and finite temperatures under strong electric and/or magnetic field, breaking of fundamental symmetries and consequences. The effect of spin-orbit coupling on the experimentally measured quantities such as specific heat and spin susceptibility.

Dr. Phani Murali Krishna Ravuri (1/Sept/2006-1/Sept/2007)

Presently, my research interests involve the current distributions is the compressible and incompressible strips and their formation in quantum dots along with the electron-phonon interactions in zero and one-dimensional systems. In my Ph.D. work (which I have completed recently) bipolaronic formation in GaAs and CdS quantum dots has been explored and the effects of electron-phonon interactions on low-dimensional systems have been investigated. Also, the self-trapping transition in a one dimensional at half-filling of Holstein-Hubbard models has been studied.
