Autobiography

I was born in 1967, in Ankara, Turkey. I attended Ankara Science High School between 1980 and 1983. I  received  B.S. and M.S. degrees in civil engineering from the Middle East Technical University  (Ankara, Turkey)   in 1987 and 1989, respectively. I got my PhD in engineering sciences from the Middle East Technical University  in 1995. I worked in Izmir Yuksek Teknoloji Enstitusu in 1996. I worked as postdoc at Indiana University from 1996 until 2000. I have been in Bilkent University since 2000.

Fields of interest

Numerical solutions of PDE in elastodynamics, geomechanics and geochemistry.
Wave propagation in poroelastic media.
Finite element method, Boundary element method
