The following link points to the list of courses offered to Bilkent Physics students as a requirement for their degree. There is no strict limitation as to which combination of these courses may be offered to mobility students, and there are no prerequisites to the Physics courses. The electives offered by the department are usually decided one month before the semester starts, based on student demand, due to the small number of students involved. The summer semester is four weeks long, usually during the month of July. Since the curriculum has recently been restructured, the course list below corresponds to a transition, and there may be minor changes in the availability of these courses during the coming academic year. The credit units assigned to the course by the university is also shown. Each credit corresponds to approximately number of lecture hours per week for the course, plus an additional cretit if the course has a labratory session associated with it.
Based on a guideline of 60 ECTS credits/year, one Bilkent credit corresponds to approximately 1.5 to 2 ECTS credits, depending on year of study.
