"The Normal-J Theorem"
By
Abstract: Last week, we proved Thompson's normal p-complement theorem making crucial use of the normal-J theorem. This week, we're planning to present a proof of the latter theorem, following Isaacs, thereby completing the discussion of the last week. Nevertheless, normal-J theorem can be independently used, such as in a group-theoretic proof of Burnside's theorem. Therefore, this week's talk can be regarded as a self-contained discussion as well as a continuation of the last week's discussion.
