"Homotopy Colimits"

Abstract: This talk will be focused on the construction of homotopy colimit for a diagram of simplicial sets, and some related objects. We will start with discussing the motivation to construct homotopy colimits and give definitions of related concepts such as simplicial spaces and their realizations. After we give the definition of homotopy colimit of a functor, we will discuss some examples of homotopy colimits as time permits.
