Abstract: We continue the description of
the braid monodromy of a trigonal curve and its relation
to the dessin. The principal result is the fact that
the monodromy group is a subgroup of genus zero. As
an immediate application, we will discuss the dihedral coverings ramified at
trigonal curves (equivalently, torsion of the Mordell—Weil
group of an elliptic surface) and a trigonal curve version of the so-called Oka
conjecture.
