"Thomason's homotopy colimit theorem"
By
Abstract: In this talk we will discuss Thomason's homotopy colimit theorem, which states that the following: If $I$ is a small category and $F: I -> CAT$ is a functor, then there is a natural homotopy equivalence between the homotopy colimit of $NF$ and the nerve of the Grothendieck construction on $F$.
