" On Finite Groups with Solvable Centralizers
of Involutions"
By
Abstract: It is
an old problem from the Kourovka Notebook which asks
for description of the finite groups with solvable centralizers of involutions.
In this talk we will first give a survey of results regarding this problem. We
will prove that when the solvable radical is nilpotent of odd order, these groups
are p-constrained for the primes p dividing the order
of the solvable radical. We will also describe the structure of the groups in
question under this assumption. This is an ongoing joint work with Kıvanç Ersoy.
