"A Dynamical System Model in Social Sciences"
By
Abstract: We
propose a mathematical model for approximating the certainty as a function of
communication, in a small group decision-making process by consensus, based on
a dynamical systems approach. Assuming that the communication is a one
dimensional continuum variable, we analyze both first
order differential models and second order differential models, and then get
the general model by superposition. An experiment was organized and the data
have been used to test the model. A statistical analysis of the results is also
included.
Audience: The
presentation will be available and aimed at undergraduate students
level with a basic mathematical background.
