"Szegö Functions"

Abstract:
Strong asymptotics of
orthogonal polynomials are given in terms of Szegö
Functions. We recall the definition and some properties of the Szegö Function for measures located on the unit disc and on
an interval. Also we discuss possible forms of the Szegö
Function for general measures. We are mainly concerned with singular continuous
measures.
