Abstract: In
previous seminars, we (the regular participants) have frequently discussed
induction, inflation, deflation and restriction in the abstract scenario of biset functors. We have also sketched the connection with
induction, inflation, deflation and restriction for our favorite
example of a biset functor: the ordinary character
functor. In this talk, we shall discuss the connection systematically. The
first part of the talk will give a detailed account of the notion of the tensor
product of two bimodules.
