"Group Actions
on Spheres I"

Abstract: I will survey
known results on group actions on spheres and list some of the open problems in
the area. This talk is planned as a two week talk. In the first week, I
will present some results from our recent work with Ian Hambleton. In
the second week, I plan to explain the main ideas of the
paper by Dotzel-Hamrick on "p-Group Actions on Homology Spheres."
