Abstract:
In this talk we will
present a part of paper by F. Connolly and S. Prassidis. Let G be a discrete group of finite
virtual cohomological dimension. One of the purposes of
this paper is to answer the following question: When does G act freely and
properly discontinuously on R^m x S^(n-1)
for some m and n? The answer for this question is Thm
