"Clifford Theory of
Fusion Systems"

Abstract: This
is a joint work with Laurence Barker. We study the effect of blockwise Clifford reduction on fusion systems of blocks.
Our concern is not only the fusion system of a
given block, but also the centric category of the orbit category and the Külshammer-Puig classes associated to each object in
the latter category. Some complications arise when we use ordinary group algebras, so
we propose to use the notion of fibred group algebras. In this talk, we explain
how Fong-Reynolds and quotienting steps of the Clifford reduction affects the corresponding
fusion system of the block in the special case where the block has defect zero.
