Abstract: This is a Senior Project presentation
The main topic of the talk will be the
Riemann-Roch Theorem and its applications.
Firstly, we will try to understand what is a Riemann surface,
and talk about some technical details such as definitions and some theorems in
order to understand what does the theorem say. On the second part of the presentation we
will focus on applications of the theorem by describing the genus 0 and genus 1
Riemann surfaces.
