Abstract: We shall explain what a block is and,for much of the seminar, we
shall be explaining what the fusion system of a block is. Roughly, the fusion
system of a group is the category of conjugation maps between the p-subgroups;
the fusion system of a block is the same, but with the p-subgroups replaced by
a generalization. We shall outline a proof that every fusion system of a block
of a p-solvable group is the fusion system of a p-solvable group.
