"Invariant
Subspaces for Operators on Hilbert Spaces"

Abstract: We present results of
existence of the closed, linear, nontrivial invariant subspaces for certain
continuous linear maps acting on complex Banach spaces. The class under
consideration consists of polynomially bounded operators with spectrum
containing the unit circle. The main results were obtained jointly with V.
Muller
