Abstract: In this talk, we consider k-sequences of generalized order-klinear recurrences with arbitrary initial conditions and coefficients, and we give some formulae for them such as generalized Binet formulas. We give a generating matrix to derive explicit formulae for the sums of terms of these k-sequences by matrix methods.

Bio: Emrah Kilic received his bachelor's degree in mathematics from Ankara University, Ankara Turkey in 1999. He received his M.A. in 2002 from Gazi University and his Ph.D. in 2006 from the same University, Ankara. He joined the department of Mathematics at TOBB ETU in August 2006. He was a visiting scholar at MIT, under the host of Prof. Gilbert Strang from February 2008 until May 2008. Currently he is Associate Professor in the department of Mathematics at TOBB ETU.
