"Operators of Strong Type B"
By
(METU)
Abstract: An operat=
or
between a Banach lattice E and a Banach space X is called an operator of st=
rong
type B if T maps the band B(E) generated by E in bidual E'' into X. Clearly
each weakly compact operator is of strong type B. We will first identify the
case when operators of strong type B coincide with weakly compact operators=
and
then obtain few corollaries and study the duality theory of strong type B
operators.
