ABSTRACT: Fix a positive integer n and let A be a set 1, 2, …,
n. Then the primitive binomials in the toric ideal I_A of A are naturally
associated to primitive partition identities. We discuss the maximum possible
length of a homogeneous partition identity and the maximum degree in any
reduced Grobner basis of I_A.
