“Ricci Flow and Geometrization
Conjecture”

Abstract: In this talk, we will give an outline of
Hamilton's program for the
Thurston's Geometrization Conjecture via Ricci Flow techniques. Then, we
will sketch the Perelman's proof, which entitled him to Fields Medal in
2006. The talk will not be very technical, we will only underline the
essential points in the proof without going into technical details.
