Abstract: Cluster algebras are a class of commutative
rings introduced by Fomin and Zelevinsky
to study canonical bases and positivity in semisimple groups. Since their introduction, cluster
algebras have also found applicationsin many
different areas of mathematics such as lie theory, Teichmuller
theory, Poisson geometry and combinatorics. In this
talk, we will give main definitions and discuss structural properties of some
cluster algebras.
