Abstract: In this talk, we will consider one of the most important
techniques in modern Riemannian geometry known as the Bochner
Technique. We obtain some of the classical theorems Bochner
proved about obstructions to the existence of Killing fields and harmonic
1-forms. Furthermore, we explain an extension of the technique to differential
forms.
