Abstract
Of Seminars:
I will
begin by presenting a comprehensive overview of the
classical griffiths abel-jacobi
map in terms of a membrane integral,
as well as in terms of extension classes, leading up to an explicit
membrane integral formula for the abel-jacobi
map for bloch's
higher chow groups in the smooth projective and quasi projective cases.
This is based on recent joint work with matt kerr and
stefan mueller-stach.
Abstract Of Colloquium:
The
cycle class map is one of the main ingredients
in the statement of the celebrated hodge conjecture.
In this talk, i will explain the hodge
conjecture,
and discuss variants of this cycle map and related conjectures.
This talk is intended for a general audience.
Tea and
cookies will be served before the talks.
