Mathematics Graduate Program
The Department’s graduate programs emphasize research in pure and applied mathematics. The first-year graduate courses are required for students in both pure and applied mathematics. Research in pure mathematics covers algebra, number theory, algebraic topology, algebraic geometry, complex analysis and functional analysis. At present, research in applied mathematics is focused on non-linear differential equations and general relativity.
