Assitant Professor

Ph.D., Organic and Polymer Chemistry, University of Cambridge and Imperial College, London 1999. Synthesis, characterisation and application of functional materials, supramolecular and polymer chemistry.

Supramolecular and Polymer Chemistry
My research is mainly concerned with the synthesis of novel supramolecular assemblies with defined structures, properties and functions such as rotaxanes, polyrotaxanes and conductive polymers via molecular recognition and self-assembly using the non-covalent interactions, subsequently characterization of these materials and also exploring of their applications in the area of molecular electronics.
