AYDAN PAMİR

I was born in Sinop in 1958 as the last and the most beloved child of my family with the deepest affection and consideration I enjoyed throughout the years.My primary education started in Sinop and finished at Ulubatlı Hasan İlkokulu in Ankara in 1970.I completed Bahçelievler Deneme Lisesi in Ankara in 1976 before having the opportunity to attend the Middle East Technical University.I was awarded the degrees of Bachelor of Sciences,Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Mathematics from the same university in 1982,1985 and 1992,respectively.My academic career commenced in full strength with the role of an instructor at METU which lasted until June,2003 when I was entitled to retire.

I have been in the Bilkent University since February,2005.I am of the belief that my present responsibility offers me a great deal of opportunity to do justice to my career with the ideal academic environment I am surrounded with.

What about the real life?

I have always approached animals with love and understanding.Presently,I take care of three pets and regard them natural members of my family.One of them is a Pekinesse origin dog called " Karmi Kıjım" which is always the center of attention.The others are " Muhabbet Kuşu " called " Çıtır " and "Fıstık" ,which live in perfect harmony.

Recently I have grown a deep interest in the art of Ebru and produced a number of examples in the field ,which also served the purpose of enriching my approach towards life.I desire to become a loyal learner and a deep understanding of the discipline, if God wills.
