Ultrafast Optics Research Group

We are active in the general area of ultrafast photonics and lasers. Ultrafast fiber lasers form the core of our activities, but we branch off to various topics and application areas, ranging from seeking answers to fundamentals of short pulse formation to laser engineering and applications of these lasers.

Current topics of interest:
Development and theory of ultrafast fiber lasers,
Ultra-stable fiber lasers and their applications to accelerators,
Biological and medical applications of ultrafast fiber lasers,
Material processing with ultrafast pulses.
