FACULTY POSITION AT BILKENT UNIVERSITY DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

Chemistry Department of Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey invites applications for visiting and faculty positions at the assistant professor level. The faculty members are expected to be active in research and teaching.The medium of instruction is English.

We are seeking scientists in the areas of ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY, ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, INORGANIC CHEMISTRY, BIOCHEMISTRY and MATERIAL SCIENCE.

The department is furnished with ESCA, UPS, UV-VIS-NIR, FTIR, Micro-Raman, PXRD, POM, DSC/TGA, NMR, MS electrochemical instruments, alpha, beta, gamma counters and nuclear facilities.

Experimental research areas include surface chemistry, nanocrystals, liquid crystals, mesoporous materials, catalysts, supramolecular chemistry, fuel-cells, polymers, quantum theory of chemical reactions, quantum chemical applications using density functional theory, theory of reactivity and stereoelectronic effects, protein modelling, radiochronogical studies of sediments, archeometric studies. Salary is competitive and covers regular cost of living adjustment. Campus housing is provided to successful applicants.
